Most pictures are from Masada, well worth a visit if in Israel.
Normally you stop off at Ein Gedi for a dip in the Dead Sea or the Spa.
Do wear shoes or sandals when you go to the sea, the sand is very hot.

Most of the buildings at Masada were built by Herod the Great in about 37 -
31 BC.
Huge cisterns were used to collect water, buildings include Herod's palace and
a 'swimming' pool.
960 Jewish zealots resisted the Romans at Masada for four years until 73
AD.
Just as the Romans were about to enter all but a few women and children
committed suicide.
