Bio
Name: Ross Taylor (I get a number of emails asking for my name - if you use my photos please let me know) Born: 1955 England. Single. Height: 6'1" 185cm. Weight: too much. Lives in England for about 5 months/year (close to London). I started taking photos in about 1969, later I got a Zenith E SLR, in 1979 I got a Canon AE-1 which I have used ever since with a Sigma 28-70mm zoom lens. Just about all the photos on this site are shot with that camera, mostly on Kodachrome 64 slide film which I then scanned using an Epson FilmScan 200. The Jamaica photos used a Mavica FD95 digital camera that I borrowed. Degree in Physics from York university 1973-1976, followed by three years in post graduate studies - combustion of heavy fuel oil (yes pretty boring). Works as a software/process engineer in the cement industry travelling around the world 7 month/year. I have worked in 20 countries around the world, a lot of my time has been in N America. Most of the Revelation commentary was written while overseas especially S Korea. As a result of my work I visited India and collected Indian miniature paintings and started supporting a bible school in India. Christian background: converted under David Watson's ministry in 1973 while at university, mainly charismatic house church although theologically more conservative. Hobbies and interests: Internet, Bible, current Christian issues (creation, ex gays), Revelation and eschatology, Photography, Actuarial calculations (pension, annuity, mortgages etc). I have a fine collection of Victorian stamps. Most of my interests can be found at my sites. Back to Images of the World
