The design shows Britannia with the British lion at her feet, she is presiding over the ocean with the Americas on the right and India on the left, at the bottom left and right are people reading letters.
'Rule Britannia' the most popular of all English national airs was composed
in 1740.
It's refrain goes:-
Rule Britannia, Britannia rule the waves,
Britons never never never shall be slaves.
